I don't take comfort in knowing that history will reflect the atrocious violence being inflicted against Palestinians, that people I will never know will dissect the support these acts have been given and see how the so-called 'freedom' warriors care only for their own rights.
I want it to stop. I want Palestinians to not just be deemed worthy of a life of value and safety, but for them to experience it, wholly, and without permission.
If the Opera House sails testify against atrocity, why are they not drenched in green, red, white and black? What will it take for our tears and our grief and our fear to matter?
I don’t wish to thank the people who never saw me as worthy of their attention until our cause got them attention. I see you. Do you see yourself?
I don’t want to be known because I am Palestinian. But if you know me, please know that I am Palestinian.
We are not all Palestinian in our thousands, and our millions. You can stand beside us. Why do you have to claim our identity? Has that not already been subject to thievery and violence?
My people are resilient. But we have enough martyrs. They deserve to live.
